Mohammed Sarwar Saqibi’s musical journey began at the renowned Dartington College of Arts, where he honed his craft and passion for music. Learning from famous Ustads, he deepened his understanding of classical traditions, enriching his diverse musical expertise as a player of both Tabla and Harmonium. As a peripatetic music teacher, he inspired students across various settings and also conducted an 80-piece brass band. Over the years, he has collaborated with musicians from different genres, broadening his artistic vision. Sarwar is also a writer of music courses and learning materials for schools, committed to making music education accessible. His experience also includes serving as a musician in residence at Cleveland Arts, where he explored and fused different musical traditions. Mohammed has combined elements of Gamelan, African music, and Western music in his work, creating unique cross-cultural compositions that inspire and educate students across various settings.
